Stop Motion Magic
Learn how to make your own animated movies to demonstrate science processes and tell stories.
Participants will learn to use Twist to create and export scalable vector art. They will learn to use Frames to combine the images they create in Twist with text, titles, music, and narration.
Goal
Learn Learn how to use animation to engage and motivate students to create compelling projects which meet curriculum standards.

Software Skills
Participants will gain experience with Frames and Twist, learning how to:
- draw shapes and change curves to create images
- save and export illustrations for use in animation
- import folders of images, then add text, music, and narration
- export movies in a variety of formats.
Timeline
This one-day workshop runs for approximately six hours. During the morning, participants will explore project ideas and learn the basics of Twist and Frames. During the afternoon, participants will create frames for their animation in Twist and combine them into powerful animations in Frames. The day ends with ideas for integration and strategies for implementation.
