Add a Background Color to a Text Object

You can add a background color to a text object.

Click a text object to select it.

You should not see a cursor in the text object.

Click the page away from the text object if you see a cursor.

Click the text object again.

You will see the text options panel.

Click the Border Edit button.

You will see the Border options panel.

Click the Background color box.

You will see the Select a Color dialog.

Choose a color.

Click the OK button.

The background of the text object will change to this color.
